Bought a new sketchbook yesterday. Finally used it this evening. Felt good.

I love this book. The cover design, layout and paper quality is perf. The script by @realgdt.bsky.social is great to read and really gives some insight to his process, but best of all (if you're a storyboard junky) is the @guydavisart.bsky.social storyboards.

Found an old unfished image I sort of like. Not sure why I stopped. Loosely based on an idea from when I heard a creepy yell in the middle of the night while camping on Blue Mountain near where I grew up. Scared myself with my own kid imagination. Also very clearly Trevor Henderson inspired. 😅

Sad to hear about Gil Gerard passing. Buck Rogers has one of the greatest TV openings of all time. Spent a lot of time drawing in front of this show, even though it only aired for 2 seasons, it ran in syndication for years. I would always look up when the intro played.

I love Calum's work so much. It's not just his style and technique, it's amazing design choices and fresh ideas. So good.

All this Half Life 3 talk has me remembering a time after State of Decay shipped, and a group from Valve came out to visit us. I'm actually still not sure what the meeting was for or why I was in it, but while there I couldn't help but pitch my joke game called 'VALVe: The 3rd.'

This is one of my all time favorite designs. I love how Guy carries the language over to the smaller versions. They're just perfect and the props looked amazing on screen.

Gorgeous work! I got to see the keyframe for this early and it became my most anticipated part of the film. Did not disappoint!

Guy's work is so incredible. Imloved this part of the flick, the imagery is burned into my brain. That puppet based on this design, absolutely amazing.

The Creature is one of my all time fav monster designs. I tried to draw it so many times as a kid, probably a big reason I went into art in the first place. She also designed another fav of mine, the Metaluna Mutant! An incredible talent.

Happy Frankenstein Day! Felt like winding down with some fan art of @realgdt.bsky.social’s flick, which released today on Netflix but is also still in theaters, which is where I recommend seeing it. Loved this film.

Such a visual feast. Guy’s work is all over this in the best possible way. I walked out of the theater feeling like I have not in some time, it's so epic and grand, but uniquely personal to GDT. I recommend seeing it in a theater if you can, but it's available to anyone with Netflix now.

Saw Frankenstein today. What an utterly beautiful work of art, every bit of it. Definitely in my top 5 of his films. I hope there will be physical copies. Our theatre clapped, bravo to the whole team!
