Yes, and actually quite important that the message is out there - you do not want to be the most senior unpardoned person on 21st Jan 2029. More broadly, the US needs a serious thing about what dismantling Trumpism looks and operates like to not shit the bed on it again.

Corporate Media is going to pretend that Trump is heartbroken about the two West Virginian National Guardsmen being shot in DC, but the entire point of moving a standing army into a peaceful city was to induce violence by The People to justify more violence by Trump on The People in retaliation.

It is IMO not possible to operate any kind of meaningful democracy when your national press is a joke and a travesty, but your mileage on that may vary. I think it’s incontestable that it is impossible to govern well and effectively, while being in hock to these pantomime clowns.

Sleeping with a source is, yes, an ethical violation because it creates the *appearance* of bias. Acting as their political fixer and campaign adviser, using your journalistic network to do so, is *factual* harm and a betrayal of the highest order--especially when you do it for Eugenics McGee.

Imagine TV News covering this farmer protest - banned, but turned up anyway, grinding capital to a halt - if it were about Palestine or climate change, not inheritance tax. Would they present protesters as heroes? Or showing "I need to get to work" and "me auld mam missed her hip operation" voxpops?

There is a reason why Witkoff did not want any officials with the State Dept or anyone else present during his many meetings w/Putin - he didn’t want witnesses to his treasonous behavior. Highly unusual, but makes perfect sense when you consider that he only cared about Russia.
