It's been done. This is what the House adopted just *three days* after Johnson illegally fired Edwin Stanton, and then they later filled it in with the more detailed articles. "Resolved, that Andrew Johnson, President of the United States, be impeached of high crimes and misdemeanors."

You can write a nice longer resolution with articles of impeachment laying out the case in detail; I've done it before and seen it introduced. But it is not a procedural necessity. The House can vote on a literally one-sentence impeachment resolution if it wants, that's perfectly valid.
