Your regular reminder that the ghosts of Christmas visited upon Scrooge not some sort of transcendent universal enlightening ethic; they're hauntological corrective policing agents that epouse a long dead morality from previous eras onto the present to eviscerate radical futures.

The closest thing the left had to an answer to the question of what the future should look like (including aesthetically though with mixed results) was the green new deal. the petering out of that movementās popular momentum in the Biden years has left a void that has yet to be filled

the phrase āattention economyā already sucks but itās hinting at something important: what matters now is your ability to get anyoneās attention. to say āhey!! iām human! pay attention to me in the sea of slopā. to wave your hands frantically and have 1000 people see it. to say āiām here, i matterā

municipal level geoengineering goes hard as a concept, but i am not sure how you manage externalities on that. i think an advantage the contemporary right has is, simply, denigration of consent of the governed as a concept, so they can always just let some other sucker pay externalities
