good reasons not to use ChatGPT and other AIs: 1. it is a tool of fascism 2. once you are in its ecosystem, and rely on it, it can be used to manipulate you 3. if a service is free, *you* are the product I know it's convenient, but resistance requires us to be uncomfortable for the greater good

I needed about 100g of Gorgonzola for a dish. But they only sold the cheese in 250g allotments. Guess Iâll just have to eat the rest of this cheese. Woe is me.

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs) Good tech. Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales) Bad tech.

I have a theory why people who use genAI argue a lot against it being used to fire it. I think this is how they ameliorate their guilt. Maybe those people were gonna be fired anyways and AI is just the excuse, dunno but it is the excuse theyâre using.

I think we should just shut down the entire concept of generating images using AI. Outlaw it, or as close as you can come to doing so. I know it's not possible to eliminate it completely, but we definitely can stop companies from scaling it up to "industrial-scale abuse".
