Turns out this was an actual agency and not a scam. My mom just doesn’t remember which one it was, which, to be fair, this was nearly 30 years ago.

There was a reason my parents told me “Focus on school for now” when I hit my teens. I was never a beautiful girl, and I was never in movies that sexualized me in in any way. But it didn’t matter. It was about access. I still got harassed. The 2000s were a bleak, bleak time for young girls.
