I've seen people say things like "our troops weren't designed to be used on US!!!" and look, I totally understand, I agree in some ways, but I really, really hope that if you feel that way you spend time thinking about the fact that there's no such thing as a weapon that can't be pointed at you.

To be 100% clear: Parents do NOT have "legitimate concerns" about trans girls on sports teams. They have knee-jerk assumptions, made up of sexist stereotypes, that self-serving politicians and media-types have fanned into a groundless moral panic. Trans girls playing sports hurts no one.

I hate the argument that AI is being used in lots of jobs so students have to learn how to use it in school. AI is not that hard to use. Lots of jobs also use job-specific convoluted enterprise software and we don't teach them how to use those in school.

Trans rights are human rights. This wrong decision by an illegitimate Supreme Court* allows cis minors to get gender-affirming care, but denies that same care to trans kids — an unconstitutional double standard that treats trans people as 2nd class citizens.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet.
