NLG Chicago Denounces Continued Violence by Federal Law Enforcement Against Demonstrators, Legal Observers, and Press Again this Friday, September 26, 2025, federal agents continued escalating their violent attacks on speech at the Broadview detention center.

DHS is exploiting the lack of press attention to spread lies about this morning's protest at Broadview. There were no attempts to enter the facility, forcibly or otherwise. ICE were the only ones using weapons and explosives. The protests were peaceful in message and form.

Today's DHS press release claims they "arrested dozens of Antifa-aligned left-wing violent extremists," including 17 "violent rioters" at Broadview Does this look like a violent riot? Grateful to those putting their bodies on the line and the journalists capturing the truth of what's happening

ICE threw me and other protestors to the ground on Friday because we dared to stand up for our neighbors. I’m okay, but our communities aren’t. We can't afford apathy or inaction from our leaders right now. Abolishing ICE is a moral necessity.
