Okay, wear layers. Read up on how they did it back in the 60s and 70s. Every protest is a potential riot. Linking arms and sitting down or marching arms linked has been seen as an attempt to resist arrest, don't do it. Some folks have carried tennis racquets to return lobbed tear gas grenades.

This is good info for the days ahead: protecting yourself while protesting lawlessness.
