over the last 6 months i have been yelled at by people in cars for nothing beyond being a person on a bike. i wasn’t “in their way,” i wasn’t forcing them to alter their behavior; i wasn’t acting like a “scofflaw.” i think there is a growing hostility abroad toward cyclists and it really worries me

We are floating the removal of the ONLY tax break on cycles. (Yes, it’s imperfect, yes it misses out the chunk of population that don’t pay income tax). We are definitely not going to restore the fuel tax on petrol to where it should be. Remind me again why I voted for you?

My swim squad has started communicating on Facebook, so I’ve had to activate my account. I’ve never been so depressed by the Councillors for Didcot. Apparently we need more roads, remove the one bus gate and they voted against the congestion charge. We deserve more. #Didcot needs more.

I don't need the flying taxi because the fact they're using government funds for this bullshit instead of active and public transport is enough to send me into orbit.

There are households round here who have a massive SUV each, a car for each kid, a sporty car for fun and a £60k campervan for occasional weekends away. They don't need reduced fuel duty to make ends meet, and it's the wrong tool to help those who ARE struggling financially. Just raise their incomes

How about providing transport alternatives rather than subsidising fuel costs for people who can pay £800 a month to rent their Land Rovers?

Amazing to hear how much discussion there is over dangerous "e-bike" riding (usually always electric motorbikes) compared to the amount of discussion over the constant dangerous driving everyone encounters daily. It's so normalised we don't see it any more.

Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet has voted to go forward with a consultation on a congestion charge for Oxford. The six-week consultation will start later this month, for a Cabinet decision after the summer, and the congestion charge potentially going live in the autumn.

This is right, as these users use roads, pavements, cycle lanes without restriction to deliver the fast food. However we need caution, TVP and even MPs are too quick to categorise all bikes as “dangerous”. Of course cars are waving there at us, killing us everyday? #cyclinglife #activetravel

The great thing about biking many hours per week is that you get to look in people's windows and see absolutely egregious levels of phone usage. If their windows are down, I love yelling at them, and then they look up from their phone all startled like, "Oh, am I supposed to be paying attention???"
