Done with them all. Bang average people with awful childhoods and no perspective offered immunity and riches beyond belief. We can do better, and should move on now.

Have just discovered (courtesy of Jeremy Cooper's fantastic novel "Discord") Olivier Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, composed and first performed while he was a P.O.W. in Stalag VIII in 1941. Pretty extraordinary work.

I have voted in the past three elections via mail-in (postal) in the UK. But, and here's where it's a bit weird and might send people mad, I am not, nor have ever been a UK citizen.

Jim Ratcliffe is a prick. I always thought he was. He has done nothing to suggest that he is not a prick. I loathe Jim Ratcliffe and as a result I find it very hard to get behind his cycling team. He was a prick before he got into cycling. He’s always been a prick. I hope that clears things up.

Great to see Ned up in my neck of the woods last night, a really fascinating and amusing Q&A with another great writer, Harry Pearson. Definitely worth a listen!
