For all the people who are screenshotting Twitter/X posts and forcing them into my timeline. I don't care how hot a take, how funny a image, how important a person I don't want to see it & I don't want you using a site where you a) run this risk and b) contribute to it's success by your presence.

In the UK add that possession of CSAM is a strict liability criminal offence, prison sentence 2-3 years. No proof that you sought the material is required. People can be and have been convicted after receiving unsolicited images. This is a serious risk, using X in the UK now.

This is the stair lift most people actually want.

Not stupid chairs that take up 2/3 of the stairs and hurt your knees and wrists constantly sitting down and standing again.

This character played by Claire Skinner is clearly a listener. She seems to know far more about each individual than the average copper would know a few short hours into an investigation.

I knew about the Truth and Lies special tomorrow at 7.15pm, but I've only just spotted the 6 x 5 min shorts throughout the day from 2.15pm. There're not showing up on tomorrow's schedule on BBC Sounds but are listed in Radio Times.

More aggro, yes, but hardly hell unleashed. I'm glad it wasn't worse for Brad & Amber's sakes. Nice build-up for tomorrow with no real clues as to which way it's going.

I've caught up with

but won't be able to listen live tomorrow. They're doing a good job of mixing in the banal with the build-up to the big story. Looking forward to seeing how next week pans out.

If you want to feel old, there's a song on the 6Music Christmas playlist about a bloke remembering when he was a kid & his Mum telling him Christmas was better in the 1980s. So here's a track with images of proper old fashioned tinsel, paper decorations and balloons.

Christmas Ident Calendar Day 15. BBC2's '2' stayed with Wallace & Gromit in 1995 to promote A Close Shave, which was watched by 10.62m on Christmas Eve. This presentation won a BAFTA for Best Graphic Design. Look out for the nod, the wink & the raised glass at the end.

For the record, Robin Ince is a superb comedian, an absolute mensch, a remarkable thinker and the kindest human youβll ever meet. And the BBC is a genuinely great and globally unique institution that needs to stop being afraid. I think thatβs where most of its faults and issues stem from.

The fact is no presenter has ever had to leave the BBC for expressing conservative views, or even explicitly endorsing a right-wing party. Was never a problem for Jeremy Clarkson. Was never a problem for Andrew Neil. Was never a problem for Alan Sugar
