Expensive luxury or cheap alternative to the car? E cargo bikes are cheaper to buy and to run than cars but a very expensive addition (up front cost) to a household already running a car. We need to seriously consider how to support the rapid proliferation of such alternative modes of transport.

So it's official, Oxford residents who own cars will get 100 permits a year to drive past one of 6 camera sites. (Oxfordshire residents get 25) and otherwise pay £5 per day. Cyclox welcomes this move which should reduce car journeys and make Oxford a better place to live, walk, work and cycle.
