My 12 mile round trip commute to and from work was free today. The bike has paid for itself 10 times over and the little bit of extra body fat is stored fuel.

Morning rush hour in Copenhagen.

If everyone in the Netherlands or Denmark started using cars for short trips to the shops, commuting to work or dropping the kids off at school. It wouldn’t be long before those countries had traffic congestion as bad as the UK.

The only extra lane that can fix traffic congestion is a bike lane.

If only the UK. Had Energy independence and didn’t have to rely on foreign oil and gas.
