Returning to a subject I was discussing this morning on X, I think a single video like this does more to radicalize people against ICE than any loaded rhetoric any politician has ever used, and DHS should think very hard about the consequences of supporting this kind of behavior from its agents.

Why would we fund a lawless government. The demands to keep the government open should be to stop kidnapping our neighbors and friends, stop shooting boats in the sea, respect 1st Amendment rights, respect the rights of all people equally. Not some compromise over Medicaid.

I can't even anymore. Yesterday, the Chair of NY Democratic Committee announced he will not support the Democratic nominee for Mayor of NYC. 31 Dems voted to curtail DC self-governance two days ago. Now this today. I truly think my blue no matter who days are over.

I'm thinking about all the people who were so pissed at David Hogg who thought as a vice chair of the DNC that we should work to have the best Dems run in primaries, but who never said (I don't think) that Dems shouldn't support Dems. But Jay Jacobs remains.

I honestly wonder how many of the pundits saying “did it the right way” were HS or college debaters. These are such morally hollow takes, ones that view the procedure of debating, not the substance of the arguments made, as the measure of “good” or “bad.” It’s just abt scoring points the best.
