Instead of a Batman caught in the throes of existential agony, we found a man for whom consistently fighting his demons made him a role model for others. One of the best non-comic portrayals of the character as a father figure, not just to his "Bat family" but a gaggle of DC weirdos and outsiders.

Batman: The Brave and The Bold was such a great cartoon. A wonderful tribute to the idea that there is no "best" Batman, no matter how many times we reboot him as a grim vigilante. And its dips into Silver Age lunacy didn't preclude the show having some real heart as well.
