Working through copy edits on the new book and I don't know of a more undervalued part of the publishing industry. I can feel it becoming better as I go along. Copy editors are a godsend.

I still do not believe that any of the Star Wars prequels are good movies. That said, they do have a few interesting themes, some awesome scenes, and a handful of weirdly engaging performances and none of these things ever happen at the same time. It makes them fascinating.

Walter White's appearances after Breaking Bad ended are interesting because while they're definitely a product of Vince Gilligan and Co. deciding that they made Walt a little too openly badass in the original series, they're also a vision of him from the viewpoint of other characters.

Job interviews for anime-related roles are always fun because they're an equal mix of "What are you looking for in a satisfying career?" and "One Piece is pretty rad, right?"

Dinotopia wasn't just enchanting to me as a kid because of the dinosaurs, but because of all of the little details of the world. How would the architecture accommodate dinosaurs? What kind of tools would we use now that we could work with these creatures? It was so thoughtful and curious.

This is correct and one of the reasons why, out of the recent MCU films, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Deadpool & Wolverine blew everything else out of the water. They're movies built solely around how nostalgic you are for movies from 20 years ago.

I've somehow managed to avoid playing a single Dragon Quest up to this point (despite owning several) and casually strolling through Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake at my own pace has been a goddamn delight.

Diane Ladd could be in anything. While her daughter Laura Dern was in a massive 1993 dinosaur movie, Diane Ladd starred the same year as an evil scientist in Carnosaur, a flick with less than 1/60th of the budget and ten times the weirdness. And she's great!
