Regardless of personal feelings, SSC has always been something I really took pride in our community having Their investigations seemed to take more time due to how thorough they were- which made me feel much better about them I remember how devastating the hack was and how some were overjoyed

When this happened, there was so much panic behind the scenes that never saw the public eye. Many TOs no longer felt safe running their events, knowing that there was intentional harm done to try and attack the SSC, that does all of its volunteer work to help in keeping the scene safer, and TOs.

I strongly encourage people to actually watch the splat safety video to form your own conclusions instead of immediately getting angry at either party.

We as a community need to have real dialogue about what exactly safety looks like and how to achieve it in a way that still has a baseline of unbiased and through review to ensure integrity for both those who report their cases and the accused in those cases Whether or not you agree with the video

I understand the concerns re: Riptide in Ohio, but boycotting the event is not the play. a) I promise you the Ohio Govt couldn't care less whether Riptide gets 1,000+ or 400 attendees. The financial burden instead falls to the TO who enables us to host one of our largest LAN events every year.

Honestly, I think this is a general problem with mindsets. Hypernova's relative success today was because we knew how to play our comp. I'm of the opinion that the comp itself is weak, but there is something to be said for *everyone* being comfortable with the weapons their teammates are playing.
