When you, as a victim SSC was attempting to help, perpetuated lies and vitriol so only YOU could speak on the matter — under the threat of legal enforcements and public backlash — they have every right to disprove their claims (like how YOU did the same). You are the exception, not the good kind.

That event made me lose a large amount of my drive and interest in this community. The damage caused both directly to those attacked and indirectly to others was massive. You just didn't hear about it because everyone was keeping quiet to try and protect themselves. I know I'm far from the only one.

Honestly I stepped back from a lot of events post this too. It was quite a scary time for org leaders and TOs

When this happened, there was so much panic behind the scenes that never saw the public eye. Many TOs no longer felt safe running their events, knowing that there was intentional harm done to try and attack the SSC, that does all of its volunteer work to help in keeping the scene safer, and TOs.
