So I've been thinking a lot, and I wanted to make a public apology for the way I acted with regard to Splat Safety over the course of the last couple of years, but particularly back in August. I still have some legitimate issues with the way they handled the situation, but in raising them, (1/4)

I noticed whenever a show/movie decides to have these quiet, introspective moments like in Eternals, The Acolyte, or even Andor, that’s when people decide to call it “slow” or poorly written. It’s like no, you’ve just conditioned yourself to see action moments as the only valid thing.

Maliciously and intentionally lying to the org that does its best to keep the community safe AND the community as a whole while being a TO for said community is quite the cognitive dissonance.

please take the time to read this. so horrible what’s been happening to gem these past couple years. his and splat safety’s reputation ruined all for nothing. hoping six isnt allowed at any more events as this behavior is so incredibly disgusting and malicious

It’s been very frustrating to see what has played out up until Gem/squid school released an actual statement. So much damage caused along the way by intentional misinformation and a refusal to consider other perspectives. This is worth a read and reflection.

I would highly encourage ALL people in the Splatoon Community to read this. If you have ever Supported Gem / Squid School in the past and heard about the serious allegations put against him. I personally believe he is innocent and I think its such a shame that this escalated this far.

but I think being quiet still and trying to be nice to everyone in this will only go against my conscience. This has done irreparable harm to Splat Safety. This has harmed so many more people beyond Gem, and I think both Six and iMAD need to reflect on that.

My advice to anyone wanting there to be a Splatoon local in your area is to be the one to take charge. A lot of people are waiting for someone else to do it. You can be that someone! Yes it's scary and hard, but being a TO for SeaBATTLE! has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
