Trump is weak and the sooner we accept that, the easier it will be to defeat him.

You know the thing that will piss off Blusky the most is that what truly caused Musk's crash out and might have caused a MAGA civil war was DEMOCRACY. Literally because we won the WI Supreme Court race, Musk was kicked from government which made him bitter and lead to well this.

Great news! Because of a recent court order, November SNAP benefits for Wisconsin recipients were made available overnight. Members should feel free to use the funds as they normally would.

I think the rise of the far right has been pretty much continuous and worldwide since the mid-2010s, albeit with some backlash whenever it has actually seized power. It has continued pretty much regardless of macroeconomic circumstance. But we keep attributing it to various economic causes anyway.

think the supreme court stay temporarily blocking snap distribution is both a) a normal procedural thing and b) gonna bring even more public attention to the white house trying to block hungry people from being fed, laying the blame right at the feet of who it belongs to

Jackson replied administratively because it was the circuit she is aligned with that the case is in. She basically had two options when Bondi jumped to SCOTUS before the 1st Circuit was done- put an administrative stay down to reset regularity or let full SCOTUS weigh in. Bad business all around.

Referring the admin’s emergency petition to the whole court would have slowed down getting the payments out. We expect a First Circuit decision within the next day, day and a half. Monday a.m. tops. Stay tuned.

i also think that for conservative voters, they’re usually using “the economy“ as proxy for animus toward minorities, and that we should interpret “the economy” when given by conservative voters as likely a lie to cover an evil more shameful motive

Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

Which is exactly what Schumer knew they would do, when he maneuvered them into this position. He was right to not shut down the government in the spring, and he’s right to force the Republicans to openly shoulder the blame for it or end it on his terms now.
