Closing chapters of life that only stayed open because even the "bad" parts felt safer than the unknown. Moving on after years feels so strange and hollow, but I need it & hope for ~actual~ better in the future. Comfort in predictability makes it weirdly easy to put off working towards your goals.

Reading about the harassment an author of a book I read recently is receiving is really baffling to me. The issue seems to be that readers don't seem to be getting the difference between a statement or opinion held by a bigoted or shallow character is not the opinion of the author?? Bleak.
