Dividing the world into “the left” and “the right” is a gross over-simplification designed to divide and conquer. Even worse is the the part-whole fallacy—point to bad behavior by some members of a group and blame the entire group. Plus, it’s inaccurate. See Trump. And both murders were horrific.
