We live in a metropolitan area of the United States. People who are going about their lives like other Americans are being taken away for no reason and trauma is being inflicted at schools, hospitals, neighborhoods. Itās appalling that complaints are made about their dining options being affected.

hi from Minneapolis. these folks are catastrophically overthinking it; the immediate need when agents hit a block is for people that speak *any* language to know it's not safe to go out. that need is far more pressing than whatever this infantilizing "actually it's racist to make noise" shit is.

You lying piece of shit. I chaired the Minnesota DFL for all three of your runs here. I watched you lose. Three times. Minnesota never bought your con. And now, as Chair of the DNC, Iām looking forward to ending Trumpism for good in 2028 ā not with lies, but with votes. Again.

Richfield passed our legislative priorities last night, with the following addition from CM Walter Burk (approved 5-0). It is regrettable that it is a "policy position" that the federal government should follow the law and decades-long norms of law enforcement. But here we are.

Got a moment to share your ideas for Penn Avenue? Richfield could use your help! (And you're welcome to share your thoughts whether you live in Richfield or not.) This survey asks about preferences for bike lane design, on-street parking, and more.

Traffic laws are now photo-enforced in the City of Mpls. Five traffic safety cameras were placed on accident-prone streets and will now issue tickets for speeding - $40 or $80 depending on the speed. This is a step towards encouraging behavior change to slow down drivers and keep our city safe.š¦

Beautiful transformation of a suburban collector route in Northfield ā streets that formerly had one-side sidewalk and nothing for bikes, now have sidewalks on both sides and a generous, two-way protected bike lane.

Again, the key fact here is that convention organizers lost 180 votes for mayor (23% of the total) and wrongfully dropped the third-place candidate. Without those errors it is difficult for there to have been a mayoral endorsement. The organizers ADMIT the errors, but argued to keep the result.

This is such a sad story but a great example of where cities (especially suburbs) go wrong in zoning rules and considering public input. Public input is invaluable when you are *writing* the rules. Public input should not dictate whether or not to *follow* the rules you passed.

The Guthrie's production of Cabaret certainly carried an extra sharpnessāfelt in the audienceāobviously due to timing. But the performances from Jo Lampert (Emcee) and Mary Kate Moore (Sally Bowles) are so exceptional that it hardly needs the help. Second this:

The Met Council's long-range forecasts project that exurbs like Rogers and Belle Plaine will add over 50% to their populations by 2050, while St. Paul will add... less than 10%. This is not some law of nature that the metro sprawls while the core stagnates! It's the result of policy choices!

There were serious problems with street encampments in the commercial heart of the neighborhood, some elevated crime, some new regulations for businesses, and property taxes are up while values are down. And then the city closed the core 10-block commercial strip for TWO YEARS, for construction.
