As someone who signed up to shovel the day after the blizzard because of the 30/hr incentive and did a 12 hour shift of shoveling 30+ blocks of crosswalks, bus stops, and hydrants with 12 others, I can attest that this initiative worked. They turned folks AWAY b/c so many were signing up.

No generative AI was used in creating The Mermaid Mask - this game is the result of nothing less than a small group of very talented artists working hard for a long time! A shame it even has to be said, but it's important to restate our values when making games: No GenAI. Ever.

I co-sign this & would add that no indie game (or work of art period) is worth destroying your health/life over all. Post-Covid, reflecting on the lives of so many artists, especially indie devs, who were destroyed working 60+ hr work weeks to finish their work changed how I feel about making art.

Absolutely brain dead take. Trans people did start with employment, housing, and healthcare. There are cases dating back decades such as Smith v. Salem in 2004 and Glenn v Brumby in 2011! Many states passed anti discrimination laws well over a decade ago. He has no idea what he's talking about.
