NEW: A major shift in underway in recent months kicked into gear this week, with ICE trial attorneys around the country asking immigration "judges" to toss out *nearly all* asylum applications on the grounds of "safe third country" agreements with Uganda, Honduras, Ecuador, and Guatemala.

Immigration judges are "pretermitting" huge swathes of asylum claims on the grounds that the person can be deported to a third country instead — one of the explicit statutory grounds for denying the right to apply for asylum. This is now happening at large scale nationwide.

It is not! A “scrivener’s error” is for things like fixing typos or very minor non-material errors, not retroactively adding a deportation order that doesn’t current exist!

The Constitution does not require hearings prior to impeachment. Every day he is in office he commits add’l crimes and harms more ppl. Courts have already found POTUS personally in violation of his oath of office on the basis of his own words. WHY would you tie your hands like this, in advance?

If impeachment req'd a comprehensive investigative process, the Constitution would say that. Hearings are typically needed because officers typically hide their crimes. To decry "Trump's out-of-control behavior" & then say you can't address it w/o an "exacting scrutiny of the facts" 1st is nonsense.
