Bike-lanes donât cause traffic congestion. Car dependency, dumb land-use sprawl, too many (& bigger) cars being driven too much taking up too much space, highly subsidized driving costs, and not enough choices in how to get around, ALL cause traffic congestion. Think about it. THATâS common sense.

What if you had to take your drivers test at least every 10 years? A lot changes over time. Including knowledge/memory of the road rules, driver skills and ability, and the size and deadliness of vehicles.

This breaks some peopleâs brains. In most cities, Costco stores fuel sprawl & car dependency. In Vancouver, our full-sized downtown Costco has residential towers above & a skytrain station next door. LOTS of customers donât drive to it. We live a block from it. We call it âthe convenience store.â

The proposed transit cuts wonât just impact the Bay Area & LA. Theyâll cut funding from transit projects in San Diego, Orange County, Sacramento, the Inland Empire & the Central Valley. A long list of projects up & down the state will be in jeopardy if these funds are withdrawn.
