So much winning! Trump Media, parent of Truth Social, had just $973,000 in sales in the third quarter, down 4% from last year. Its loss for the quarter expanded to $54.8 million from $19.2 million in 2024Q3.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

I missed this when it came out in July but it's quite good. Though John Carney is on the right in some sense, he used to subscribe to my newsletter, and this piece is quite sound, as we used to say in the Party of the Right.

All those people who dismissed Zohran's victory by pointing to the uniqueness of NYC—check this out. Good things happened in upstate NY (maybe not as good as ZM, but good) too. And upstate NY is in many ways the real America.

MIDNIGHT UPDATE: Moderate/Dem-backed candidates are currently sweeping every school board race in conservative Douglas County, Colorado (home to a famous school voucher experiment). Would give moderates total 7-0 control of the school board.

Every time she comes up, I remind you all that Pamela Paul killed a pro trans paragraph in a review I wrote for the New York Times, lied about it in the press, then when I confronted her with receipts, said “Let’s keep this to ourselves.”

CBS went to a military food pantry (those words, in order) to interview moms. 13% of military families rely on SNAP/WIC. When a military spouse of a deployed soldier on enlisted salary was asked if people should be surprised: “No they shouldn’t. We live in poverty just like everybody else.”
