i have to say, as a trans journalist who has covered the "trans debate" for about a decade now, there is no daylight between how the trump administration and conservatives lie about tylenol and autism and how they've lied about youth trans care.

The same bs they're spewing about autism and tylenol is the same bs they're spewing about trans people's healthcare. It's the exact same playbook and the fact that the media can see through one and not the other is a damning indictment of how complicit they are in the attack on trans lives.

Today, due to the recent spread of (false) narratives about trans perpetrators of mass shootings, I decided to look up search stats for the term “trans shooter.” The term was hardly used at all before May 2022, when the shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde happened.

I need you to call your reps and tell them to oppose the HHS appropriations bill. They are trying to sneak a nationwide total trans healthcare ban in it regardless of age.

Use of force against peaceful resistance only erodes the legitimacy of the government further which only galvanizes the resistance and grows their ranks. Every desperate move to maintain control loosens their grip further. We outnumber them, always remember that.

And that 600k is just the top 15 cities in population. That doesn't even include suburbs and mid size cities. This country is simply too large and too populous to rule by martial law if the population denies its consent to be governed by such force.

Trump wants to make the military takeovers scary to stop resistance but the truth is the military is not large enough to control all the major cities if there is mass resistance. They'd need 600k troops at a minimum and the national guard only has ~336k. They can't actually hold cities if we resist.
