It seemed weird at the time that SCREAM (2022) and SCREAM VI referenced the new STAR WARS trilogy as much or more than any modern horror, but fair play to those movies, since SCREAM 7 turned out to be this franchise’s RISE OF SKYWALKER, frantically going back to basics at the cost of everything new.

The first movie is pretty mediocre with the exception of one or two great kills and how respectable it is for its experiment. I hope with the sequel it can find something more. I think there's potential to be found, but not confident this team will find it.
