Disability benefit cuts to hit 700,000 families already in poverty, DWP estimates. The less well-off are always hit by govts. Govts won't hike taxes on the rich funding political parties. So they pick on the disabled, sick, poor, old. Class warfare is deeply embedded in the UK political system.

I am a wobbly. There are charities, pressure groups for all sorts of issues but my experience is that Wobblies are systematically discriminated against. my primary mobility aid is not a mobility aid because it is the accursed object - a type of cycle - and I am therefore not a disabled person

Disability is not a moral failing. It can’t be prevented with healthy living, prayer, or wellness culture. It’s a natural part of life. If you live long enough, you will more than likely experience disability. We should all be fighting for better social supports, inclusion and accommodation.
