Greens delivered 10,000 leaflets, successfully urging rejection of proposal in consultation.

Last night's meeting of #Bedford Council included passing @greenparty.org.uk motion, committing to defend all residents whose homes are threatened w/ demolition for #EWR, investigating designs for Bedford station (& options for #railway nth of station) to make sure there's no need to demolish homes.

As a wheelchair user who recently moved house, I know too well how dire the situation is. Finding properties where the walls are far enough apart and there is a hope of adapting them (even if it costs a lot) is massively challenging.

Kate conveys the appropriate level of excitement much better than I did in my post that she quote-posted! So many #Disabled and #elderly people who use something as a #MobilityAid could get big benefits from getting the current, offensively named "invalid carriage" regulations sorted out.

Generally I'm OK with satire, but if ppl get het up & take literally chants 2 kill members of a military that's committing genocide, then threats to kill 10,000s of people merely for being at same festival as such chants can't be dismissed as 'just satire'. For the record, I oppose all killing.

It's what I've been thinking. The anti-trans activists have known they can't change the policy, because they don't have enough support, so they have been working to sabotage it. The party needs to defend itself against sabotage.

Rings so true. Wld make more sense sticking to strat if it was better based on strat thinkin. But yr after yr, thinking is "which council seats will we target in May?". The result? Local Parties w/ less frequent elections (eg unitary councils) get less support than equiv ones w/ more freq elections.

I'm at @velo-city-conference.com. I've now made all 3 presentations done, highlighting how #Disabled cyclists are impacted by issues (bikelash, cost & cycle parking, and how we relate to infrastructure). Been good to make contact with ppl working to improve #cycling for Disabled ppl elsewhere.

I'm really pleased to say #Ani4deputy of the #GreenParty (England and Wales). Ani is an excellent person with great judgement and commitment who has my full support.
