Okay lads. Loads of my library reservations came through so I'm looking for tips on which ones to take on holiday!

Today I did my first Audax! Baby steps...only 70 km. It was called "Elementary", a "permanent" going from Poynton (location of gold post box below, one of several for Sarah Storey) to Holmes Chapel (geddit?) and back again. Great views of the Lovell telescope at Jodrell Bank!

QQ for those Audax folk out there... If I'm riding a Perm, can I change the route as long as I get to the control locations?

Amazing that so many drivers think petrol is too expensive but are also happy to drive 5-9 miles each way to a different shop to avoid paying less than a quid for parking.

There are quite a few bridges like this on the Macclesfield Canal. Very beautiful from an engineering perspective, bit of a pain for cycling.
