Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.

In bloom in the garden mid May, incl. cerinthe, cow parsley and a salmon-coloured geum which I love. As ever zoom in to the botanical details if you're strung out as plant fractals have been shown to dial down stress significantly. No tiny owl hidden in this 📷 but would you like more of those?🦉🌿

Beltane or Bealtaine was a Celtic/Gaelic festival held on the 1st May to mark the beginning of summer. One of the key parts of the festival (alongside massive bonfires, feasting & making merry with beer 👀) was the exchange of posies to bring good luck. Here's a Beltane posy for you from my garden 🌿
