At the end of the day, don’t we all just want a cottage in the Scottish Highlands, an Agatha Christie novel, an alluring rainstorm, a crackling fire, a kettle on the stove, and a basket of freshly-baked emotional support scones?

PS if you want to translate my books or invite me - or any other Icelandic author, of which there are MANY - to a literary festival, or to promote a book, the Icelandic government will probably also pay for that!* *although the translation grants only cover parts of the translation cost

Beltane or Bealtaine was a Celtic/Gaelic festival held on the 1st May to mark the beginning of summer. One of the key parts of the festival (alongside massive bonfires, feasting & making merry with beer 👀) was the exchange of posies to bring good luck. Here's a Beltane posy for you from my garden 🌿
