I'm not trying to downplay the seriousness of the ruling. But it is limited to one lady in Colorado who may get a preliminary injunction allowing her to perform conversion talk therapy. It's a narrow ruling. The merits are still live. We gotta live in that narrowness. ADF wants us to despair.

Or, to put it a bit more charitably, seriously underappreciate the nature of these kinds of suffering. They are motivated to do so. Decent people abhor the idea that what brings them fulfillment also brings suffering to others. But decency *also* demands that they confront it.
