This time next week @tbfighters.org, @pih.org and friends will have nearly 300 people in DC asking congress to continue to fund TB resources. Most of them have no personal connection to TB. They’re traveling across the country on their own dime to do this because they care and because it works.

This would not have happened if advocates hadn’t been insisting on this funding relentlessly for a year. When everything is terrible and things move slowly, it’s hard to believe that adding your voice to a cause actually does something. It does though
