The reason why most women my age couldn't care less if Bill Clinton goes down with the ship is that we were teens & young women when the Anita Hill and Monica Lewinsky scandals happened. It's rotten to the core. All the way down. Your "lost" era is not ours.

I feel we're so stuck on this. We're stuck on failures and consequences and hard moves and conditions. Is this a game about failures and consequences and hard moves and conditions? Are those things part of your story? If not, find something else instead.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Hey so âunderage girlsâ areâŠchildren. The word youâre looking for is children. Theyâre not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. Theyâre children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

Whenever Elsbernd talks about how to "make City Hall work for residents" remember he was the direct architect of a policy specifically designed to make Black City workers poorer with Wiener's full support. He's never AFAIK acknowledged or apologized for this. This is structural racism in action.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP. Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP. The people who need help are not the problem. Itâs corporate greed. Itâs an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

Also, this should not need to be said, because "promote the general welfare" def means feeding people, still it's worth noting that food stamps have a huge positive economic impact overall. Every $1 spent on SNAP adds $1.54 to the economy. As is often the case, doing right is also an overall good.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
