A Great Egret gliding in to land at a small pond. I haven't seen any of the big birds (Great Egrets and Great Blue Herons) catch big fish at this spot, but there is plenty of panfish, crayfish, and water beetles to eat.

I thought one of the promises of LED lightbulbs was that they would last much, much longer than incandescent bulbs, but ours (from a prominent brand) seem to be failing (flickering or just… not turning on) at about the same rate as the old bulbs would burn out.
