I think toxic publications with massive national circulation and profiles are often pushing toxic narratives not as clickbait but because it suits them to seed toxic narratives using not our rage but their massive national circulation, and maybe those narratives need not ignore-ance but pushback.

Of US animals I get questions about from Aussies, skunks are in the top 3. They just have no reference point for what the smell is like, and no native animals with similar defense mechanisms. They're -fascinated- by them.

If the government can take away your voting rights for a felony conviction, and they also decide what constitutes a felony, and they also decide who’s charged with the felony, and they also decide who’s prosecuted for the felony, you don’t have a right to vote.

I find AI makes work isolating. Instead of asking "Jeff" about something, I ask chat GPT. I miss out on the team cohesion aspect and opportunities for cross pollination of info. Chat GPT will tell me how to use (service) to accomplish (goal), Jeff might have a different approach entirely.

This article that was going around the other day wasn't claiming that AI tools don't make workers more "productive" in some sense (they do self-report that they are getting more done!) but does suggest people end up working more while being less engaged & more stressed.

The thing is a bunch of people getting together and voting to remove the rights of convicted felons is still democratic and aligns with the constitutional provisions. The fact that it was voted on means it was transparent, and is at anytime open to being repealed by voting.
