i've been so tired this week. i haven't been able to have a single good night's sleep basically since.... last sunday? monday? I can't remember i've just felt like shit emotionally and mentally ever since right before my birthday and now it's physically too

i'm going out for a belated bday dinner tomorrow with the parents and some old neighbors who are in town are joining and ngl not looking forward to having to come up with a response to "how was your birthday/how does it feel to be 37" because "I want to drive off a cliff" won't go over well

i gotta be honest, y'all i've been trying dating apps for the past 4-5 months and all that's happened is that it really feels like it's driving home how cooked i am in regards to finding anyone, and turning 37 has just driven that fact home even further and i don't know how to combat it

it's really sad, because growing up one of my biggest dreams was to have a family and be a dad And right now with all the bullshit going on in the world, I look at that part of me that still desperately wants that and I think boy howdy it's a good thing we didn't bring a kid into all this
