Tears For Fears were the best British band of the 80s. Much better than The Smiths. Their first 3 albums are almost flawless. They were huge in America too. They don't get the credit they deserve.

something that wrinkles my brain every time I remember it is the fact that total eclipses are only possible on earth because the moon and sun appear to be the same size in our sky, due to the insanely, astronomically unlikely fluke that the moon is 400x smaller than the sun but 400x closer to us.

I have a media-related question for you, Scott. I hope itās something you may be able to shed some light on: We can all agree that local journalism is vital. So how can they be allowed to pollute their articles with the worst kind of pop up ads, making it all unreadable?

A big part of what makes a good radio interview isnāt the questions but instead the patience to give your guest space to talk openly and confidently.

Always regret not writing more on mechanics of broadcasting in old job. Anyway, I *did not know* that the reason BBC Radio 4 still broadcasts on long wave in 2025 is that it secretly carries the Economy 7 signal for cheap overnight power on old electricity meters.

Having not read the sentencing remarks, Iām cautious about rushing to conclusions, but on its face Feathers McGraw appears to be a prime example of the rampant sentence inflation that has led to chronic overcrowding in our zoos and the unedifying spectacle of animals being released early.
