Seconding the recommendations here, especially Bleedproof White. That stuff is magic. And kneaded erasers are great for all art media imo. Plus they double as a fidget toy.

As a #watercolor painter of 20 years, I still use student grade Grumbacher paints and affordable brushes. Do spring for the good paper once you feel comfortable though, it makes a difference.

It can be said that if you're using AI for reference, your work is going to look like AI. Reference is so much more than just finding an image to look at. It's costuming, and clothing history, facial structure, and anatomy, lighting and style guides. It's UNDERSTANDING all of that and applying it.

I've made it a personal goal to stop using the term "content" when referring to media made by artists. The word implies mass-produced filler and calling someone's hard work their "content" has started to feel kinda like an insult. Like human art made strictly for quick consumption
