And the great news for all concerned is that if McConnell is alive, MAGA would have an instant, conclusive response to such an act by Beshear. So it's a win-win for everyone. The fact that this isn't happening helps confirm for Trump that he can destroy our democracy if he wants.

The law Kentucky Republicans passed to stop this from happening is unconstitutional. More than that, it was almost certainly part of a conspiracy—possibly a criminal one—to do exactly what's happening right now. Dems should bust through such bullshit like a bull in a china shop.
