Adoption is selfish because it centres the adults. No one ever thinks about the 20 year old person the adopted baby will be someday. A person with questions and no access to answers. Someone who might not be grateful to learn their mother wanted them but was forced to give them away. 🥚

Most adoptees don’t have “bad results”. We have adoption records we are forbidden to access ever and birth certificates that are fakes. We are legally forbidden access to our bio families and are lied to about it by the people who raised us. Adoptees are treated like babies their whole lives. 🥚

on of my childhood friends found out her dad was scooped from the Blackfeet on Wind River. Her grandma found out she had 2 great grandkids and started calling as often as she could, saying "i dont have to know you to miss you." and i think about that a lot.

Adoption isn’t actually supposed to be about sourcing babies for people who want them. A just system wouldn’t be accountable to you at all. It doesn’t owe you an alternative.

For some reason having the name I do when I outclass someone with English vocabulary makes them more mad then when I had my adoptive name. They get downright irate. They could even know I was Asian with the other name, but this name... they lose it.

I feel disjointed from both countries at times. I know all of the scams they did to make it possible. My birth family was affected by one before I was born which had a profound effect on the family.
