Generally speaking if you can clean the air with an IKEA E12 filter, or a MERV13 or an MPR1900 - 2200, then you're dealing with the PM2.5 air particles and bigger. Anything below MERV13 and you're likely to be letting PM2.5 particles through. (and HEPA is great if you can afford it!)
