NEW — ICE violence has spread well beyond Minneapolis, with agents landing in small cities like St. Cloud. I spoke with Alice Valentine, a local queer trans woman, who protested ICE on Monday and was pepper sprayed, beaten and jailed as a result, along with her girlfriend. This is Alice's story:

A lot of kids are not going to school out of fear. And I'm talking about those small town schools with less than 100 kids per class. There are republican lawmakers even calling this out and when that is happening, it really shows how bad this is. Of course plenty of people showing their ass.

I want to remind people that while Minneapolis is in the headlines, they are snatching people from all over Minnesota. A young Somali adult was grabbed in Willmar, MN (about 2 hrs from Minneapolis and my hometown area). Schools out there and the surrounding small towns are trying to protect kids.

One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, —and then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.
