I watched the first series of Not the Nine O'Clock news last night. Imagine my surprise when, in 1979, the main points were: 1) No NHS beds 2) Stamp prices marketed as daylight robbery ('2p for postage, 10p for storage') 3) Iran!! The Ayatollah is dangerous! ...and the below screenshot..

I wish that countries that claim to care about net zero would stop using bombs and missiles. From the construction and delivery to the explosions and fires in their wake, those things have a very substantial carbon footprint.
