This type of organizational #selfcensorship is scary because it's so hard to detect and has such a ripple effect. There is no hiding from Trump! We need our institutions to stand up and act as if their mission statements really guided their work.

I've also noticed this shift, which was inevitable under Trump. At the end of the day, the US has produced a society that can oppose the war, but have no real mechanism with which to end it given the weak political opposition, material consequences of direct action, and broader individualism.
