It's because deep down these folks know they spent the last 5+ years doing everything to undermine Democrats at every turn. And now they're feeling increasingly guilty for it. But they can't process that guilt, so they lash out.

"Trump is the peace candidate, unlike Harris" is quite possibly the most disproven statement in recent American history. Hell, "vote against Harris if you want peace in the Middle East and Central Asia" is even more so.

What makes Trump such a unique horror is that he’s the worst possible person to deal with any circumstance. He has no concept of interests outside his own insatiable appetites. He can’t deal with any problem lobbed his way. Creates countless new crises. And considers himself unconstrained by law.

The last time anyone that wasn't motivated by antisemitism alleged a conspiracy by Rothschild money was in Landgraviate of Hesse-Kassel around 1803 when Salomon Mayer von Rothschild accused his brother Carl of cheating at Monopoly. What are we doing here?

I'm starting to think that the reason journalists lash out like this so reliably is that they don't do "theory of mind." They spend zero effort thinking about why people do things. Their entire world is just "stuff people tell me" and "stuff I observed people doing" and that's it.

You see, journalists are a force of nature. Try as one might, there's no constraining them. Ethics are for rubes. They'll write what they want, when they want, how they want. Nobody gets them. They're the wind, baby! The profession deserves every indignity that they have suffered and will suffer.

And meanwhile they terrorized everyone else that they could reach in left-leaning spaces, while ranting like anime supervillains. It's no wonder there was a sharp antiwoke backlash. On the plus side, the Right is going to inspire an even nastier popular backlash. Maybe we can fix things then.

Woke 1 took real problems, the kinds that made
#BLM
and
#MeToo
go viral, and then proposed batshit insane solutions, thereby wasting golden opportunities for reform. The bizarre fantasies of replacing law enforcement with HR, or with Woke lynch mobs, or with nothing at all crowded out real fixes.

This is a big part of why I fucking hated Woke 1. It was a crab bucket of ppl screaming about how everyone else was a privileged monster and they personally were the pure, oppressed snowflake facing a grand conspiracy from everyone around them. It was near-comprehensive failure as a result.

Not insults though. Lies, distortions, delusions, misinfo, yes. He obsessively corrects the record, at least as he sees it. But he drives his detractors beyond insane because in-group insult comedy just rolls right off. That's why they work so hard to recruit flying monkeys to land just one punch.
