Finally painted my Space Wolf, which incidentally was the first Warhammer mini that I got. I also tried edge highlighting for the first time and felt *pain*, lol!

At long last, I have finished painting up three of my first Warhammer minis. Two Space Marines and one Tyranid. Certainly to be the first of many more, lol!

Just finished assembling my first Warhammer 40k minis. It was inevitable, but Games Workshop finally got its hooks in me.

I swear I have never seen something that grabbed my soul this hard. I want to be in that world so bad!

Old Soviet era artists like Evgenii Rachev and Petr Repkin are such under-recognised gems in art, especially anthroporphic animal art.

The Redwall series was what really laid the foundation for me. I grew up with a collection of old Disney VHS tapes, but Redwall was the first world of funny animals I fell in love with. Then came Warrior Cats, various dragons series, and finally Zootopia that sealed the deal.

The initial installments of many franchises (e.g. Star Trek ToS, Star Wars OT, Redwall) have aesthetics and vibes that are distinct enough from later installments that one could almost consider them separate IPs.

So, I've been looking for an app to use as a way to brainstorm ideas for a setting, and it turns out MS Paint is very useful for this. Just simple text boxes, a line tool to draw between connected ideas and a canvas to enlarge to your heart's content. Such beauty in its simplicity.

So, a funny thing that happened at #FWA2025 was people misidentifying the species of my sona. Most common was people thinking I'm an anteater, or aardvark, with a couple people thinking I'm a kangaroo. When asked, I would saw that I was a deer, which is simple and correct, but there is a nuance.

Now this is something I'm particularly proud of. My first ever mini I painted years ago with some friends in college, versus my second mini ever painted just a few days ago at #FWA2025. Really just amazing what a little bit of time (and a diluted wash) can do. #miniatures #painting

Well, one moderately long drive and a few hours at work later, I'm finally back home from #FWA2025 and unpacking. I'm honestly astounded at how much of a hit this little guy was. Honestly lost track of how many people came up and complemented his snoot and colors, and everything! Just blown away!

I'm also quite happy to have run into an old friend from university, @keibo.bsky.social at FWA2025. I remember when him, I and some other friends in our major went to a furry club meeting on campus way back in 2018. #FWA2025

Something else that was fun to see at #FWA2025 was all the groups of suiters, like this flock of Duchies having their picture taken on ove of the stairs in the atrium. #fursuit #furries

Also fun to see some of the non #furry cos players, like these fine fellows from the New California Republic, making sure we are well protected from the dastardly Legion! #FWA2025

Always cool to see the absolutely ludicrous amount of stickers that accumulate on the boards around the con. Also, the fun-sized street sign, they know how furries are, lol! #FWA2025

At the closing ceremonies last night for #FWA2025. Attendance for this year was over 17,700 people! Hundreds of thousands raised for charity, as well as the reveal of next year's theme! #furry #furryweekendatlanta

I would be *the* suspiciously wealthy furry. Artists the world over would suddenly have extremely regular and well-paying clients (me). Indie animation and game projects would be fully funded. The best part? No-one would know where and from whom it's all coming from.
